I got this used from Brian Sump at Avalon Motorsports for a really good price considering how good it looked. It came totally packaged like a new one would in less than a week. I got the full on install kit with the hanger relocator, heatwrap and clamps. Brian also threw in two dp---->CATBACK clamps OEM style with the kit to fix my leaky rusted ones.

I printed off the instructions and gathered up the tools needed after jacking up the car. I removed the old catback (SSAC) that was just a little too quiet for me (I wouldn't have liked the Twin 2 either) and put the mid pipes on after relocating the mid hanger with the extendo piece. Once I was ready for the rear section I realized that the pipes would not fit together to save a life! I pulled it all back out and grabbed the old burnz-o-matic propane torch and went to work on the mid pipe coupling points. Turns out they were too tight and the pipes that slipped into them (rear section) was welded a little too wide. I flared both sides out on the mid pipe by inserting the rear section pipe (one at a time) and prying it at an angle. This opened them up the needed amount and I threw her on in.

The pipes sit about 1" max out from the valence and they are about 1/4" from touching the top. They sit perfect side to side and are as true as can be. I am VERY impressed with the way it looks in the valence. I couldn't ask for it to be any better.

The sound is PHENOMINAL! It sounds just like the SSAC when it is idling so I let it warm up while I cleaned up the garage. I took it home but it was snowing like crazy so I couldn't get on it like I wanted. I let the RPMs climb though and found what a lot of others have: The exhaust is amazing sounding after 3,000 RPMs. It has that braaaapppp! type sound that I was looking for. After almost putting it into a ditch on the on ramp (holy shit I have never been that close to losing it in snow) I took it home and absolutely fell in love. I tried to get it to drone but it refused even with the piggies I have.

I think I've been through more exhaust pieces and combos than most. Once I decide on the DP's (ASP) vs current piggies vs SSAC DP's on garage floor I will finally be done with frankenexhausting. <----spell check didn't like that one

Wow I was going to make a similar thread.

I just put mine on on Wednesday, filmed on Friday. Sounds awesome. No drone, just like you said, and it's loud when you want it to be.

The only complaint I have is that the stupid sleeve clamps were so corroded. On one clamp, I had to grind the nuts completely and then hammer the crap out of the bolts to get them out. And on the other one, it just took a phenomenal amount of elbow grease. So I had to buy new nuts and bolts, and the Karp's employees were retarded...

Yea I put my twin 1 on last winter and froze my ass off the whole way home b/c I had the windows down so I could hear the exhaust. A.W.E makes AWEsome stuff. 100% satisfied

love my Twin 1 as well... I have straight piggies, and then test pipes then the exhaust system, so it's pretty loud, but not annoying loud, a deep, nice sound. I agree, fitment is 100%. Best fitting exhaust I think.

haha, don't know if I agree w/ that one, my buddy Mitch (Bimmer2Audi) has a Twin 1 and the thing hangs a little crooked and sits low as fvck!!! I mean he scraps that thing almost every time he goes over a speed bump or pulls into a parking lot/garage/drive-way

Nope, its installed properly, we have tried re-hanging the exhaust ourselves twice. It was originally installed by a very reputable Indy shop....I don't believe it is crooked anymore, but the thing still hangs very very low, like maybe 4" inbetween the exhaust piping and the ground. Hell, I can see 70% of his piping when I am driving behind him on the road

I hate my Twin1!

It sounds great, depending on what RPM range you are in. And liftoff sounds fantastic.

But it does sound like a fart-can under some conditions. And it's just too loud when you're barely on the gas. It sounds like you're really making an effort to accelerate from stop lights!

To anyone in the CA Bay Area, I'll swap my Twin1 for your Twin2!

well it certainly isn't at a jet-fighter level.. more like a Cessna 340 actually haha, but without the propeller drone.
It's plenty throaty too.
