So what the deal with the leak detection pump?

I'm in the process of ripping out my vac lines from my pcv, evap and sai systems. I'm deciding to keep the evap solenoid and charcoal canister and just take off the lines from there. But what about those hoses going to and from the leak detection pump by the drivers side front wheel? Will i always throw a cel for this? I have already ripped out just about every hose and i plan on keeping the least amount of hose as possible. Is there some way to hook it back up so it doesnt piss off the ecu? i know the purpose of this is to pressurize the evap system to test for leaks. Could i fool the ecu by looping the hoses or something?

I would keep it if I were you. Not a bad idea to have something that is testing your EVAP system for leaks.

I pulled mine (and related lines) and it gave me a code so it went back in.
