    My New USP w/ a few mods...(PICS)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I got a 2004 1.8T Quattro USP 6spd after that refrigerator on the highway totaled my 2003 3.0 Quattro 6spd. So far I'm really happy, I get way better gas mileage and I love the USP. I got it stock with 1 yr left on the CPO warranty...so far I've tinted the windows, tinted the tails, clear cornered the headlights, put Magnaflow mufflers on, and put some 19" Axis Pental wheels on...Let me know what you think!

I went to a hobby shop and used some spray tint that they use for model car windows. It worked pretty well. I forget the name of it though. $6.50 a can.

Question for you... what "refrigerator" hit you?

    -- got pics?

BTW nice a4... How much better is the 1.8T vs the 3.0 you had?? I ask because I own a 3.0 and everyone loves the 1.8T, so I wanted to get the opinion of an AZ'er who has had both

They guy from the body shop was supposed to email me pictures...but I never got any. Hmmm, the 3.0 definitely had more torque, but I'd say the 1.8T is peppier. So it's a different feeling of power. I do get way better mileage with the 1.8T though. All in all, it wasn't much of a loss performance wise. I was pleasantly surprised.

The 3.0 was a 6spd manual and now the 1.8T is a 6spd manual too.

It's held in place by clips. When you black out the grill surround, like I know you will , just take it off then. It's really easy. Congrats on the new ride. Love the color.

with a drop and black grille trim it will be looking really clean. going stage 1 or 1+ would be an easy and enjoyable mod too.
