Help with axle bolts

I'm in the process of removing the motor and I am having trouble getting the 6 bolts that hold each axle out. I may have stripped one already and I was wondering if anyone has any pointers to get them out?

p.s. I'm going to punch that German son of a bitch who designed these cars with so little working room.

Are you using the correct triple square tool? Just make sure to blast all the gunk out and seat the bit well. The stripped ones, you're probably better off cutting the heads off of them now.

hmm didnt think they were that bad to get out, think its a 10mm tripple square. If you stripped the bolts they will be extremely hard to get out.

Turn the axle between each bolt so you're always working with the bottom one. This method along with lots of extensions so the work is done outside the car. Easiest way.

I got my triple square sockets from Autozone for $13 for 8,10,12,14mm you need the ten.

mine were very easy.. i did it under the car with no extensions whatsoever.. just the triple square from autozone and a socket/ratchet

Yea you need the triple square, shouldn't be too hard to do. It helps if you rotate the axel so you get the best angle.

Just wait till you take off the driveshaft, Now that is a PITA.
