Dont know if these belongs in the regional forums or not, but we decided to go out on the dragon on friday!

My USP is pretty much stock, and the 330ci is as well. The 3.0 has a K&N Filter, Hotchkis RS4 Sway Bars, Bilstein Shocks, H&R Sport Springs, Magnaflow Exhaust, B&M Short Throw Shifter, and and ECU Tune.

Im starting to wonder whether my 1.8T is reflashed or not.... I was leaving the 3.0 at times...

Anyway, got some pics and we took a bunch if vids.

The Corvette's never left our sight Somehow we kept up with them around the bends and only fell behind a bit on the straights. I could brake later though, so they never pulled away

Amazing spot for a meet. The A4 in that first pic looks like its centercap is floating in mid-air-- good rolling shot. Your USP is clean too. Love that color!

Thats tree of shame is all bike plastics. The dragon is well known, as a twisty ride. Riders/drivers come from all over to atempt.

That's what I thought at first. I was surprised though because many of the corvettes were very fidgety out of the turns while we both stayed planted to the road.

I dont think they were pushing it very hard, but I was still surprised that we could keep up. I wish they unleashed their full potential though that would've been exciting

That is an awesome area for mountain driving. I've been there every year for the past 3-4 years. I've been working with regional Audi Club chapters for an annual GTG. We go during the beginning of May (May 4th = "Quattro" de Mayo). Last year was our 2nd annual event and had about 75 Audis and about 100 people.

If you want to join in on the fun, keep April 30 - May 3 open in 2009. I'll have details posted in early 2009.

BTW, how was the law enforcement? THP has been cracking down hard for the last 2 years on the Dragon.

It's a bit hard for me to get out of school then, but ill try! it sounds fun. Maybe I can just meet you guys up there while you're on the dragon.

anyway, there wasnt ONE trooper up there when we went. We ended up being there 4 and a half hours and didnt see a single one. They were probably all on vacation with their families or sent to the interstates to deal with speeders and accidents.

yup, no mufflers great thing is that the resonator keeps things quiet when cruising.

As for the ECU tune, its by GIAC. It obviously doesnt give you as much as the 1.8T reflash, but he says he likes it.

Nice Pics. I keep meaning to make the ride out from Charlotte to ride the Dragon. If your 3.0 buddy is quattro it would make sense that your 1.8 FWD is just as quick.

Well, done. I'm from Montana and I know a thing or two about some sweet mountain roads, and that one is fucking SWEET!

The vids were pretty rad too. On roads like that, it's not about the cars, it's about the driver. You weren't driving against the vette, you were driving against the guy in the seat.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that they weren't pushing it, and if they were, they weren't the best drivers...lol! The blue vette was getting sloppy squirelly, but it looks like they were having lots of fun. I know I would be.
