I headed out to western CT this morning to run some logs for a fellow Audizine member (will post logs in a bit).
7am. 27F on the way out there. Cloudy skies but the roads were dry. Avant was running strong
The weather held long enough for us to do quite a few pulls and make adjustments to his REVO software via SPS3.
Once we were done I figured we'd take a spin in my Avant. Well, by now the weather just turned and it is sleeting. I knew there was no chance in hell to get the Avant in boost but figured we'd try anyway. Open road, no one in sight, things look safe: 2nd gear at 2krpm the traction control goes wild and I have no traction. Didn't think it would be that early in the RPM band.. Guess some built motor 'fun' will have to wait until next time (sorry Mike). Once Mark@ASP and I figure out the issue with the file switching routine on my ECU then I can run the low boost "can't get out of its own way" file in the winter with inclimate weather.
Moral of the story. Pay attention to changing weather conditions for those that live in colder regions (Shawn and Chris.. you guys can ignore this ).
That is all. Enjoy your Sunday! I'm off to go put my winter tires on and park the Avant in the garage and do some work around the house.
