Answer Needed ASAP - Brake Pad Sensor (Front Brake Pads Question)

    Hey Guys,

My buddy and I changed a wheel bearing on my A4 yesterday, and everything went fairly smoothly with the install.

However, tonight my brake pad sensor light came on. During the wheel bearing repair, you are supposed to disconnect the brake sensor from the pad. I know when we were reconnecting everything when wrapping up, it seemed that the brake pad sensor wire was just sitting on the pad itself, without anything really holding it down. Note on the brake PAD, not the rotor or anything else.

So my assumption is that the brake pad sensor wire came lose from the pad and that is what is throwing the brake pad indicator light.

MY QUESTION - is then how is the actual brake pad sensor is supposed to be attached? If anyone could provide any detailed information or pictures, I would be appreciate it GREATLY!

Thank you in advance for all your time and help everyone! =)

the wires go inside of the brake pad so that when it wears, the wires would be disconnected by the friction of the rotor making the light go off.
