is it possible to register a car here in the US with euro plates even if the car was sold here? I've seen two cars on the road with euro plates on the front and back so im assuming you can at least register a car thats imported with the euro plates.

I'm assuming you mean is it possible to register a car in the US that wasn't sold here. The answer is yes. However, one would need to affix US plates to it, along with a whole other host of requirements to make it street legal (b/c its a gray market car). If you've seen cars with legit European plates F/R then it is likely a car that was brought here for temporary use in the US. After a certain period of time, the car needs to be exported back to the country of origin or crushed.

Yes Im pretty sure its possible to have a Euro registered car in the states I too have seen a few cars registered with Europlates and windshield ID's Couple of Diplomants have em out here in NYC

no no, i meant what i said. I bought my car here but I would like it registered with euro plates but i dont think thats a possibility since the car was bought here.

You can bring in a car from Europe and drive it here, I don't know what's the limit, I think few months, after that car needs to be registered at the local state. Same thing goes for US spec cars traveling in europe. After some time car needs to be homologated (?), simply meet e-codes.
But in summary, unless you have car registered in foreign country, you can't drive here on foreign plates.

some guy was selling it in the classifieds and i talked about wanting it to her and she bought it...I lucked out.

My plan with this is that I am going to put my license plate in my rear window and just leave the euro plate on the trunk. I'm gonna remove all the tint from the car tho. Someone told me that they use to leave their license plate in the rear window and when they would get pulled over it would be a $25 fine. I'm gonna test it out and see if thats true.

Yeah I really want a euro trunk. I have one on my B5 S4, actually featured in the TMT ad for the euro S4 rear bumper. (Santorin Blue S4 is mine)

Ya, I would have loved to got a exhaust system for my car but my girlfriend bought it and suprised me with it so i'm happy, and i really love it.

Ah, well I don't need a nearly new one. I will need to repaint it anyway, so I'm looking for one from a wrecked car. I can get them here in the UK for around $150 after the pound-to-dollar conversion.

I don't understand. A "Poser" is something that pretends to be something that its not. My car is an Audi i'm not trying to make it be a lambo. I don't know what you mean by poser. My trunk is somewhat rare to get and i'm pretty sure alot of other users would like to have this trunk.

What I mean is that you're pretending you have an Euro spec A4. I can understand ECE spec headlights with clear advantages over DOT, but in this case, the only difference is that a local license plate no longer fits right... How is that an improvement? And without an improvement of some sort, it looks like you're just trying to be different for the sake of being different, which is kinda lame considering you're braking the law to pull it off.

Its a 30 day limit,if you get pulled over you have to show customs paperwork authorizing the cars entrance..If there is a like model of the car in the US it can be registered at the local DMV with appropriate legal documents that will be given when the car has entered port..

The Euro trunk makes the car look wider when compared with a US spec trunk. Why are you always so critical of other people's mods if they aren't performance related? You bashed on flat-bottom steering wheels and Porsche brake upgrades, and now this?
