so i just got 17" new tires, and my parents said that i should think a bit more about getting 18" rs4 reps because i would need new tires...so does anyone have a picture of 17" rs4 reps, because if they dont look good, then whats the point in even getting them at all...so dont tell me "dont get them if their 17". ill decide that on my own, thanks...so just requesting some pics of 17" rs4 reps...

17s look perfect with a drop. The stock sport wheels in 17 actually look good on sport suspension, 2002 of course since its the lowest.

I hate that, when you have new tires that are smaller than the rims you want. Im sure rs4 reps in 17's on a lowered car would look good man, sorry i cant help with a pic bro!

you will be happy as long as you have a drop. Ride comfort is a lot better on 17s also so thats the upside of having smaller wheels.

yea i was gonna drop her, even if i would have gone with 18's...rims always become much better looking with a drop, thats just how it is...i really dont want them to be too small though..im gonna shop around, maybe i can get some decent used tires or something in 18's...then ill go with the 18 inch rs4 rep...

Sorry- not an A4- but a photo of a 17" rs4 reps and an 18" rs4 rep on the A3

Another one- the furthest car has 17" rs4 reps on stock 'sports suspension', and the nearer car has Titanium 18" wheels lowered on Neuspeed.

Wow, 17" doesn't look too bad. With a good drop it would look pretty clean. And I bet the ride is a lot smoother than my 19" RS4 reps! If you plan to drop, I say save, and go for it!

Thanks!- The 17" rs4 reps currently on are of hypersilver finish- so it really standsout in proper lighting. The spokes past the lips makes it look bigger from afar (like 18s) - but weird that as you get close to the car, then you start to see the obvious size of 17s. It gives out a good illusion, nevertheless, it also provides me with a smooth ride. But yeah i plan to dro, or even go to 18s

Yes, the 17s will look fine, especially if someone else is going to buy them for you. This is a bit of a peculiar place to ask such a question. Many here will say that anything less than 19's look like shit. Many of us who live in the real world with bumps and potholes wouldn't go with such a heavy wheel with short sidewalls. Of course, you have also hit on the basic difference, looks. The handling difference is likely minor, based more on a good tire than the difference between 17s and 18s. While ride quality and rim & tire surviveability are different. While the roads around Naples FL are likely pretty smooth, I would imagine those around Westchester NY are a bit more dodgy.
