I was wondering if it was possible to change the main and volume button on the MMI to the silver buttons shown below? Also, are there any other "little" modifications for the interior (i'm guessing the mirror knob, too)

I believe you have to take the whole RNS-E apart.

Along the same lines... does anyone know if it is possible to change the color of the font/border? Specifically I do not really like the orange background in CD/SD mode. I hope im not jacking your thread Zach.

not at all.... I would like to know as well.... i love the red, blue, and green, but hate the orange!

But also, I want to do some small mods to the interior..... the interior is just soo dark and bland.... it needs a few little pieces to "brighten" it up (and those knobs would do justice) but I'm not taking the MMI appart!

you can just pull the big knob off, but the small volume knob you have to take off the faceplate
