    Cleaning throttlebody?

    Any of you guys ever clean the throttle body?

    I did search and found some info on people who have done it on the 2.7T

    Removed my Throttle body and cleaned it

    Any info appreciated. .

    when i cleaned my gf's passat one, I went to autozone/ pepboys and bought some cleaner, named "throttle body cleaner" go figure? haha

    just spray and clean, and was good to go.

    I read the link, but it doesn't say exactly what benefits there are to doing this. More power, better response, fuel economy, all of the above.

    i think more importantly is the check and clean ur MAF, i did mine the other day holy shit!!! big difference

    That can make a difference if dirty. IIRC, spraying electronics cleaner on to the MAF "probe" was how I cleaned my previous one, but is there a different/updated process?
