Welding to a cast turbine housing is probably not a good idea, due to the exansion, contraction, and heat cycling etc.

You could do that, just be careful when porting the turbine housing, you don't want to get anything in there, and they might not be happy if you had a warranty issue and you ported your turbine housing, also it might lead to a crack.

Exactly, the program/injectors depend on the tuner/software provider.

Ahh, ok, well those are going to depend on the software you choose, so your best bet would be to contact your software provider to see what their K04 software makes, and add about 10-15HP for the manifold.
