My S-line Avant is here!

First off, props to Jeremy McLean at Jim Ellis Audi of Atlanta for taking great care of me as a customer. My car was the first S-line delivered to that dealership, and it attracted quite a bit of attention (from salespersons and customers alike). My heart skipped a beat when I first glimpsed my car from a distance. I've been studying photos of B8 Avants on the internet for months now, so one would think I'd know exactly what to expect to see, but nothing could prepare me for the pleasant surprise that greeted me--the car looks a lot better than I ever imagined!

I apologize in advance for the crappy photos, but the conditions were less than ideal (it was cold, dark, wet and getting pretty late in the evening). Not the way I would have preferred to pick up my new car, but after waiting 6 months, I wasn't about to wait another day for the clouds to break. I'll try to take better photos hopefully later this weekend after the weather clears. Without further ado, here is my new 2009 Audi A4 Avant 2.0T:

Congratulations! That's a thing of beauty, man. Same thing happened to me when I finally got my car...It was also a late night and raining but the thrill and excitement overwhelmed me when I first saw and sat on it.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I love the car so far, but with the weather being so soggy, I'm spending the day indoors watching football and RTFM. Can't wait to get it cleaned up and out in the sun.

Yeah, it's a space saver spare unfortunately, but I'll take that over no spare at all (in some BMW's these days).

I'm sure Canadians are bound to get the S-line option on the avant...eventually. We already know about the supply problems with the S-Line rims, and seeing that Canada is probably a smaller percentage of world-wide sales, we won't get the hard-to-get stuff until production increases.

What exactly is Audi thinking here? Dual exhaust tips make the car look so much more aggressive. B6 & B7 had the dual tips, why why why would they do a single on the B8 Sedans?

By the time we do have S-Line option in Canada (Maybe next year, or maybe 2), then wait for 2 more years, and we'll have a new face lift..

Seats look and feel great, but could use a little more lateral support for the upper body (adjustable side bolsters like BMW uses would help here). Great mix of colors and textures, for an all black cabin. Sorry, no photos yet.
