So this might be old news for some of you gear heads but I just came across this in a magazine yesterday.

It's the Gumpert Apollo S, some of you guys share the same engine as this super car beast. It uses the 4.2 Audi V8, of course its modded the heck out of but this car pushes 690 ponies and will get you 0-100 only in 3 ticks of your watch. Which all sounds good of to me but then comes the ridiculous price tag of over $500,000. Which leads me to ask you guys...

Would you spend $500k+ on a Audi engine that has been given steroids and shoved into that body?

There's enough people in the world with enough $$$ who would not even blink at that pricetag just to have such a limited car...

simply put, NO. Even if i had millions of dollars i have a little more taste in cars then that. Oh and for 1/5th of the price i would grab the new ZR1 Corvette that has pretty much the same hp.

Zr1's are expensive! don't they start at like 140000 + markup ...anyways I agree though..so many other unique cars for the money
