I went and talked to Auhtuning in Redmond today about chipping my car, the guy there was saying that i might not have to replace my DV because it may be the newer upgraded model?
ive never heard of this before, its a completely stock car, and he never even went to look at it, just based it off the year, anyone ever hear anything like this?

    Re: Stock DV

you could have an updated dv it might be a 710n. 710n would be your best bet for an upgraded dv. We use them on our s4's that have 500 plus hp.

    Re: Stock DV

A new DV isn't a must when you get chipped to stage 1. I ran my stock DV for nearly 2 years on stage 1; just recently changed it out for a 710n. Pretty sure the part number would be on the side of the DV, but it might be hard to read as it's not in the most accessible place.

its only $150 or so for a new aftermarket dv...so if you're REALLY pressed for cash run the stocker until she goes then buy a new one

    Re: Stock DV

I've been running the 710N on my GIAC K04 equipped for over 2 years...

The part number on the DV itself, has the last 4 digits as "710N".

2nd this. I took my hyperboost DV off to go back to an OEM valve. For my car the OEM 710N seems to work the best.

    Re: Stock DV

There is also the 710 "P", that was first specified for the RS6. The "P", uses a reinforced silicone rubber diaphragm, and the diaphragm lift motion is guided with brass guides. It's a nice DV, I've been running it since last year. Maybe that is the upgraded DV mentioned before.

If you're strapped for cash, I totally understand.

    here is a cheap alternative.
I can vouch for these guys. They know what they're doing. Also, they are quick about your order.

If anybody needs T- Bolt Clamps, these guys sell them for 2-3 dollars only. That's a steal, I've seen prices range from 6-15 dollars for one.
