Ok so ive got the Neuspeed intake and I took it off the other day because im convinced my car is a lot slower. Now that its off it really feels a lot faster and friends who have driven my car before and after have agreed. Just wondering what those who have CAI's think. I did love the sound but I just couldn't stand how it made my car slower. I know I could have spent 150$ for the race extension and got gains but im not really down for that.

hmmm, it could be you feel bit slower in the low end but mid - high you have more punch and power. I had the Carbonio for like a day, ditch that and got an EvoMS and the gains were noticeable. IMO race extension is not really going to help much/at all. Intake is not going to do much alone but along with other parts, like pairing with exhaust and software, in which you have. Just keep the Neuspeed

I heard that but I wasn't noticing that too much. My car seems A LOT faster now with it off and the stock one back on. The race extension would give gains because it relocates the filter towards the bottom of the car where you would get colder air. Im not sure if id have to cut out one of my fog panels for that too.

well where the Neuspeed filter is located it is getting cold air from the oem duct. You can take the fog grill out if you decide to get the extension

those intakes with their "high flow" filters sandblast the turbine on your turbo. they all deny they cause any damage, but i've seen it first hand too many times and CAI's are a cash cow for tuning companies so they will defend them to the death. Not a modification you should invest in in the first place. IMO, the stock airbox is fine, if you want more power invest in other components.
