So i changed the 2 engine mounts today the vibration has subsided a lot however its still there at slow speeds my mechanic wants to dyno the car sunday to see if its the axcel is jumping or causing this vibration, now tell me what you think woud be causing this problem? why all of a sudden this problem appeard form nowhere ? would going to the dyno make a difference? i am at a lost please help

    Re: Vibration problem

You don't have a CEL right (if so probably a coil pack).

Did you check the other two mounts (Snub/Trans mounts)?
It could be that your mount(s) started to go and the rest went as well due to the extra strain...you repalced 2 (the engine mounts), but the other two could also be bad, hence still getting some vibration. I'd also make sure you have the mounts tightned down correctly.

Do you have a Manual or Auto trans?
If you are getting vibration at idle it probably has nothing to do with your new suspension setup or even your drivetrain; but most likely the engine/engine mounts. When you aren't moving sitting there in P or in neutral no power is being sent to your trans and to the rest of the drivetrain...so any vibration is coming from the engine.

    Re: Vibration problem

Scan for codes just to make sure there isn't any misfiring going on (bad coils). Also, when was the last time you had the spark plugs changed? New coils/plugs makes for a much smoother ride.
