    b5/b6 same vacuum/pcv?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Was puttin in my waterpump and t-stat today since it was kinda nice out. And I was lookin around and felt a crack under this, well i moved it about 1/2" and this is what happened haha.

Trying to find a new one, but in the meantime. Does anyone have any info on cleaning up the vacuum lines and pcv system. I know poopie had sent me a pm a while ago with something off vortex, but I can't find it. And thats exactly what i need, thanks.

I've removed mine, solved all my annoying boost leak issues. I've got a friend bring his car round sometime so i can do the same, will take lots of photo's and make a proper writeup. I'm not sure if i will be much help though, his doesn't have the SAI system, but i'm sure the same idea applies, will just have to adapt it via the help from the guru's on here.

yeah, the sai system isn't a worry.. Im just looking at this vacuum setup and evap, there are some differences between the b5 and b6. Anyone know where the leak detection pump is on a b5?

    Re: b5/b6 same vacuum/pcv?

I'm removing everything from the pcv system, the only thing that is staying is that piece that I need to replace, then running that into a catch can. The pump does exactly what it says. There are 2 lines that run to it from the engine bay, and those are the only 2 lines I am keeping. now just need to decide what i wanna do with the evap canister..
