crashed the a4

i got into an accident 2 nights ago. i was coming around a corner in 2nd gear and i didnt see the wet leaves on the side of the road and i gave it some gas and lost grip slid off the road and the entire side of the road was covered in wet leaves, it just rained, and i tried to turn back ont the road but i had no grip so i hit the brakes and they locked up. slid right into a tree. luckily i wasnt going that fast mabey 15 or 20. the engine still runs but theres a coolent leak. it turned alot worse when i just ran the engine a few minuets ago to see what was happening under the hood. i just got the hood opened today cuz the hood was jammed closed. heres the damage. if you guys can, can you tell me what you see right away that is definatley fucked like engine wise and shit. a guy is coming today and giving me a qoute. i just do not want them to total it. if you guys got any spare parts lieing around ill buy them from you. heres the photos.

the leak got alot worse when i turned on the car. it turned from a slow drip to it pouring out and there was this burning plastic/rubber smell coming from the engine too.

Dayum, I'm sorry. I did something similar in my old celica, I got a tree branch through the grill and into the raditor/AC condensor.

bumper, rebar, radiator support(or whatever you call it), radiator, probably an A/C condensor, headlight, + stuff you and I cannot see.


Glad you alright though, it def could have been worse.

i wish i could fix it myself but i got none of the equipment to. a guy from a shop is coming today to give me a qoute, i just wanna make sure hes not gonna rip me off.

shoot dude i just gave away my silver bumper last week, but hey, this is a good chance to get one piece headlights and maybe an S4 bumper? I bought all the parts off people from here when i bought mine with body damage.

i hate to break it to you man but that definitely looks like a total. the front end damage to my B5 S4 last month was less severe than yours and they totalled it. not that it couldn't be fixed, but if the damage is more than 80% of the car's value they declare it a total loss. if you really want to fix it you can always buy it back from insurance but then you gotta deal with having a rebuilt title which can make it pretty hard to sell when the time comes.

On a side note, make sure you give all your motor mounts a thorough check over esp. the snub mount. I can't stress enough the importance of this because they can crack at the point where they bolt up and you cant really tell unless you have it off the car.

there totaling it. my parents are probably gonna lease me a car instead of buying another $3000 a4. i think i might use my moms jeep until i have enough money to get another one. gives me time to save up for an s4 or mabey a TT or another a4.

i guess it was kinda meant to happen. the car had 185k no accidents i was the 7th owner. it needed 2000 worth of repairs, i couldn't put shit into the engine because it had way to much milage. it was an awesome fucken car though. it feels like a lost a friend not just a car.
