Stock A4 3.0 1/4 Mile Times

I am going to the track tonight with my stock 05 A4 3.0 Quattro 6 speed. I tried some searching but I couldn't find anyone else's times with a comparable car. What will I be looking at time wise? I'm guessing mid 15s?

See my sig, I ran that time with my stock 3.0, well unless you count mufflers as a performance mod...I did no weight reduction and there was room for improvement in the launch, I am guessing a 15.0 is possible under the right conditions.

That's my time slip and my crappy handwriting haha! That was the first run I ever made in my Audi and is my second best time, I need to upload my new slip, although the time is hardly better...

My 60' was actually a bit worse on my better time (2.175)

Also this may help, at the track I weighed my car, 3,620lbs without me in it which was interesting, not sure if this is on the heavy side but I am sure it is since I have a pretty much loaded 3.0, had about a half tank of gas, spare and all that crap.

I did see those times on dragtimes.com, I don't know if they are real since very little info is given, maybe someone just threw them up there for the hell of it. But if they are real then maybe I am not such a bad driver after all.

I would like to get mine weighed too but I don't think there is a scale at the track I'm going to.

Well have to factor in conditions when the times were ran, even your times will change between cold temps and warm temps since the air density changes will have a huge effect on your NA engine. This is why everyone seems to get so much quicker in the winter.

Well I went to the track tonight and had to have the car towed home. Shifting from 2nd to 3rd the clutch wouldn't come back out. I'm guessing I broke the clutch or pressure plate, I'm not sure.

I wish I wouldn't have, I had a good run going. 2.0 60' and a good 1/8 mile even though I broke going into 3rd.

Damn man sorry to hear that! How many miles are on your car? I have 84k on mine, and the clutch still grabs hard, I even learned how to drive stick on it haha.

But I also did not launch it super hard when I was at the track for this reason, how high did you launch it at? I kept mine around 3k...

My car just hit 50k which sucks because I'm now past the factory warranty. I actually didn't launch that hard, I kept it right around 3k.

The clutch will always be the weak link, well thats where you want it.


Could be that the track had more traction this time, causing the car to hook up better and putting more load on the clutch. Raising the tire pressure can reduce the traction and the load on the clutch. Its always good to have some tire spin while launching a quattro.

I was just looking at my timeslip and to be honest I think I would have pulled off a low 15/high 14 second pass. The car next to me went 15.2 and I was .400 ahead of him at the 60' and .600 ahead of him at the 330' when I broke.

Thats nice....15.3 .....i havent been to the track yet ....never got a chance....but im gettin my SC put in March...and i really wanted to see what i was gona do stock....but i guess ill just be runing 13s
