Hi all! I have installed a GT28 in my car a while ago. At the time of replacement my k03 was working great no problem. The turbo has sat in a box ever since. I AM NOT SELLING IT. I will eventually put it back and sell the car. Meanlwhile, how can I prevent parts of the turbo to seize????? I used the search but didn't find anything on the topic. Advice is appriciated.

they're not going to seize, all you need to do is tape off any openings so debris and dust dosen't accumulate inside. When you *do* put it back in just made sure you prime it with oil and it will fire back up. Storing it in a moisture free place at a controlled room tempreature will help to protect the journal bearing if you plan to keep it for a few years.

I might be wrong, but I dont think it needs anything?
Id make sure to tape up the inlets/outlets though. Maybe spin it every now and then haha

I don't see why it would rust. I ran my Garrett T28 in my car for 4 years in salty wet winters. It never rusted
