    H&R coilover q's

i'm sure there's someone that has discussed these before, but i was curious to see if those with H&R coils like them or not?

    any yay's? nay's?

i have koni yellows and H&R springs brand new (not installed yet), but thought about ordering coils instead and selling the spring/koni setup.

i wanted some input on specifically the H&R coils since i've heard that on some other cars, they aren't so awesome.
    thanks people.

H&R on the B5 is a much rougher ride than on the B6 due to the difference in weight. However, the OP should know that you will be sacrificing the smooth ride of stock suspension when you go aftermarket.

I love the H&R CO's on my B6. Awesome handeling. For the price you cant beat them.

yeah i ran eibach pro-street-s's on my old a4 (b6), so i'm familiar with the change in smoothness.

do the B6 chassis H&R coils have adjustable dampening?

I don't think so. PSS9's are bouncy on the highway.

Get the best you are willing to spend money for. If you have the cash for Stasis get them. I bought the H&R's over the tein and PSS9's and am very happy with them.

Ignore the B5 user's comments, their car is completely different than ours.

I really like my H&R CO's. No complaints at all. Definately worth the $$.

    Re: H&R coilover q's

I had the H&R coilovers. The ride was pretty stiff and they were lacking in dampening power. I ended up getting rid of them when I found out I couldn't raise the rear ride height any further to clear my BBS. Ended up getting the Stasis SLs. A good choice. Just a word of caution: watch out for ppl with A4s on this forum who might call you poor for getting the SLs and not the MS.

H&R coilovers are obviously going to be good quality but I heard Stassis and Bilstein were better for Audi.

i think its all personal preference. My boss lives by bilsteins no matter what he drives. He is convinced that they have the best technology in the business (dont know if its true or not) I have H&Rs on my car and i love the way the car handles and looks now. My only complaint is that it is close to impossible to raise up the rear of the car past a certain point (which is still to low). The extra threads are there on the coils, its just impossible to access the height adjusters. The dampening, rebound, etc... have been fine tuned to our cars, but the shock housing has not.
