Awe seems like a good balance between the other two. Miltek being kinda subtle and GMG being super vicious. I think AWE is right in between

GMG but just because I like how agressive it is. It just sounds like it is gonna eat any other car alive haha.

I've driven the GMG WC-S5 extensively and can honestly say, the sounds that come from the car are intoxicating. When you get on it, the car is absolutely alive. With that said, normal driving is still wholly bearable... a nice growl just to say "hi", but not obnoxious at all.

I wasn't a huge fan of the tips at first, but they've grown on me a bit. Also, I think they have released their quad tips as well.

was there any droning at normal highway speed? i drive an infiniti fx35 now and the drone on the stock exhaust isnt terrible but i think anything more would get annoying.

Yea they all sound great the millteck is just a quieter exhaust although it still has a great note. GMG is probably the loudest of the 3 with the AWE being right in between its all a matter of preference.

Not at all... that was the great thing about it. It's a very 'tame' exhaust when you need it to be. It's certainly a bit more noticeable than a stock exhaust, but it's not your typical 4 banger drone. When I'm driving, 99% of the time I'm listening to talk radio at normal levels and didn't even notice the exhaust when cruising on the highway.

    Right.

They offer ovals and the quads I showed are under development with only 25 being produced. I got the pics at the LA Auto Show.

The quads will be available early January....

i vote awe but of course i'm partial, having an awe twin1 exhaust on my S4. the gmg does sound nasty though. btw the footage on that awe video was taken about a half mile from my house. having awe in such close proximity is quite convenient. gl with your decision

The Stasis S5 system retails for $1695. PM, email, or call me for audizine member pricing and install discounts. Keep in mind if a certified Stasis Dealer installs it you will still be completely covered under the factory warranty.

    HELP!!! Milltek or A.W.E??

I am a new member to this forum and an Audi owner for the first time. I purchased a 2009 Phantom Black S5 with a 6 spd, 2 weeks ago. I am into american muslce cars, but have owned 3 Mercedes....99 CLK430, 02 CLK55, 05 E55. I feel the factory exhaust system on the S5 is much too quiet for a V8. I am looking for a mellow V8 tone, none of the crackle that i am hearing on YouTube videos with NON-Resonated systems. I can`t seem to decide on a Milltek or AWE cat-back system with resonators. I know I DO NOT want the downpipes or resonators removed...the cat-back system is fine for me. Does anyone on here have any input on which system would suit my taste better? The GMG system is out of the question...way too loud. I need something a bit more aggresive than stock, but I DO NOT wANT ANY TYPE OF DRONE WHEN I AM CRUISING..just want a bit of a rumble at idle over stock, and a decent growl under acceleration. To be honest, none of these German V8`s sound like an American V8, although my Mercedes did have a nice tone. The S5`s I hear on YouTube sound like motorcycles. Can anyone help me out??? I would also like input on build quality and tip comparison from Milltek to AWE....thanks. I want to order something ASAP.

I like the AWE and Stasis sound. You can get downpipe from AWE but will work with stock downpipe. Oh yea, get diamond black tips, sexxxxy. I wish they have them for A3, i would have gotten it

i believe he has the full exhaust. you can try and contact him. i believe his handle in AW is S5Rem or RemS5. he normally visits the NY/NJ regional forum.
