radio question

so i find out my daughter has been using my cassette player like a gumball machine and after taking the radio (symphony II) out i was able to shake a $1.86 of change out thought all would be good but now it won't turn on. when i first hooked up the wires it showed "safe" mode but now i can't get it to turn on to safe mode. do i have to disconnect it again?

You will need your 4-digit radio code to reset the radio. It should have come with the booklet in the owner’s manual. If you can’t find it you will probably have to call your dealer with your VIN to get the code. I’m sure they will charge you. Once you have the code you have to hold the RDS & AS buttons down together until '1000' appears. Then release and use the buttons for the preset stations to input the 4-digit code. Then hold down RDS & AS and you're good to go.

i have the code but can not get the radio to safe mode. it was in safe mode once i plugged it in but then went black. i will pull it out and check the fuse in the back of the radio but it will not turn on.

I apologize. You stated that in your first post and I guess I didn't read it close enough. Other than checking the fuses I really don't know what to suggest.
