does your 5K service provide a loaner?

a loaner car for any service is like the most basic offer any german high end dealership should offer. Mine hasn't even hit 5000 yet, but im going to have a check on mine~making weird noises while slip it in reverse~and im getting a loaner, possibly b8 haha

It seriously pisses me off that they won't give me a loaner. I just bought a 36,000 dollar car from them, havn't been in any accidents, and have insurance. WTF over?

I got a loaner for my 5K service...just another A4. I dropped my car off a few weeks ago at a different dealership due to the CEL coming on, and they were out of loaners...so they had Enterprise meet me with a loaner for free.

I'd say you're getting screwed in the booty hole.

I was told I can't get a loaner w/ scheduled service. Another dealer in my area doesn't even offer loaners period. Moving out of NYC soon, so hope the new dealer would be better.

They wouldn't give me a loaner. I asked them well in advance and their reply was, "We don't usually offer a loaner for smaller serivces, but let me check. Did you buy the car from us?" When they found out I didn't, they were quick to say no. I'm not really happy with their level of service. Just paid out of pocket for service at 10k, they wouldn't give me a car then either.

Which would you pick?
1. Local dealer. Loaner car with 9k miles on the odo.
2. Drive 100 miles. New car, 20 miles on the odo. $500 cheaper than option 1.

The dealer i go to has given me loaners for everything even for a few days if needed. And if they didnt have a loaner, they would pay for a rental for me at hertz, so go to another dealer.

Did you buy the car there?

If you did, look for a service advisor's card in the manual and tell him/her you were refered to them, by "X- salesperson" and how happy you have been with the dealership so far. If they say you're not entitled to a loaner vehicle assume it was part of the Penske Audi Owner Experience. Reguardless if its a 10K service or 5K service there will be a Survey. Not telling you a loaner is included with every service is BS. THey should be working hard to show you how easy it is to do business with them and keep you coming back not turn you away on your first visit.

If you did not buy the car from them. bring a buddy to drive you home cause they won't help you. With the economy the way it is every business is pinching pennies, even Roger Penske. They have drasticly reduced their employee force, as with many other dealerships, and are cutting operating costs all over. Including paying more attention to those half day 5K mile serviceloaners.

Surveys are everything these days with suplimental income being directly ralated to incentives from the dealer. ANything less than perfect is not good these days. Offer to help them out with a 100% survey for the cost of a little $20 rental...

I had all my services at Penske. I always get a loaner. Sometimes it might not be an Audi loaner if they run out.

Also, I did not buy my car there. I bought it at Pasadena Rusnak.
Penske is awesome, they welcome modified car.

I didn't get one at Walter's in Riverside for my 45k. Luckily, they pulled a fail on a tsb (updated coolant o-ring) and had to keep it over the weekend, so I got a free enterprise. Unfortunately, I upgraded to the 08 C300 for a little extra...

Loaner cars are incentives from the selling dealer. so it all depends on where you got it from and if they have the means to supply a loaner vehicle.

Either way A 5k is basically an oil change with a tire rotation shouldnt take more than 1hr from when the tech gets the car.

SO yea, i had my service today. I simply stayed the three hours checking out the showroom (B8, R8, A5, Q7, RS4, etc.) Right next to it was Penske Benz and Smart, so i checked em out as well. I spent the remaining time in the lounge; it was very comfortable... way better than that of Monrovia BMW, which was small and constantly filled with people. I see some dodges and fords, and I suppose those are the loaners i would get next time for the 10 k service. At the end of the day, I love Audis and am a satisfied customer overall.

depends where you go in LA - Beverly Hills Audi of all places, gives you a Chevy HHR, or a PT cruiser.. ( yeah kinda like that ).

i always got a loaner whenever i scheduled my service or work at DFW audi, it was an excellent dealership when i was there. the first loaner they gave me was a shitty taurus v-6, but i was 16 at the time, i bitched about it and for my 10k service (still think i was 16 at the time) they gave me the newest, fully loaded a4 3.0 b6 at the time. i was very very happy. actually getting a loaner b7 is what convinced me on upgrading, the s-line was the icing on the cake.

now, going to stevens creek audi, all they had were enterprise loaner cars (f'in kia) and you had to be 21+. sucks being 20... but atleast the service advisor wasnt a dick.

It's a dealership thing, it's their money to spend how they see fit.

Generally it has to be a day or more in the shop to get a free rental at my place. And for a 30 minute oil change I just waited. They have a shuttle though.

You pay for these conveniences in the purchase price, and another angle is that when you are seen in a courtesy car, it looks like your car is like the one you are driving, but it is broken.
