R8 on HRE's plus smashed Lambo!!

Just a couple of cars seen at the dealer i work for. R8 looks sick but i feel bad for the guy who owns the lambo. he picked it up today for a total of
77k to fix the damage!! must be nice right??

They look like HRE's to me. The VMR's aren't exactly the same shape. These wheels match the P40. Plus the center caps say HRE.

All wheel and tire set up will vary with the amount of weight needed.

Obviously, BUT wheels only need the added tape weights to counter the wheels imperfections and well, you would think for how much those HRE's are and being monoblocks, not even multi piece wheels they should be near perfect. I see around 15 weights on that front wheel, which, is TERRIBLE

I've got a set of 20x9.5 P40 Monoblocks. The only weights mine needed were to counter the TPMS & valve stem. If you look at these, the weights aren't even sitting on the opposite side of the valve stem. Maybe the tires are bad????

It might be the tires. Normally the guys don't use that much weight to balance the wheels.

77k isn't that bad, considering any other regular car would've been totalled with that much damage. I'm pretty sure the frame is twisted after that.

ding ding ding! Exactly! He should have rotated the tire on the wheel a bit to help offset the weight and keep from using what seems like a string of weights. That was the first thing that I noticed when I saw that R8.

thats abour 3 oz in wheel weights, a tpms does not weigh anywhere near that much.

I say a bad tire, even if he road forced the combo properly (take a road force reading of the bare wheel, mark it and match the red mark on the tire to the wheel mark) there would probably still be a considerable amount of weight on the wheel to balance it. Wheels, especially alloys are rarely out by much, and if it is it will be less than a 1/4 oz in my experience.
