    URGENT: Power steering issue

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I got my car back together after launching it and breaking the snub mount and trans mounts. Before my engine was cocked up because the post that the sunb mount sits on was caught on top of its bracket, now it sits correctly

I start it up, and my PS is whining like crazy, my wheel "stutters" when I turn, and there's air bubbles in my fluid. The ps still works, which leads me to believe its the rack which would suck. It doesn't seem to be leaking, but I can slightly smell PS fluid.

    any suggestions?

so Im pretty sure its the pump now. as there is no fluid leaking, the fluid is only bubbly when the car is on, and power steering cuts in and out.

theres no reason to, it worked fine before I launched.

but, I could try that, just turn them lock to lock with the cap off the res?

yeah, pull the e brake, turn the wheels to lock and hold for a few secs, then repeat.

i usually fill over the full line too.

ill try it....I didnt mess with anything to do with the system itself lately, except to move the cooler out of the way, maybe it introduced lots and lots of bubbles.

Thanks offroader! ( the only one who saw this was URGENT) haha
