    new boost gauge buzzing

Hey just installed my new vmr integrated vent mount boost gauge, along with the included inline airfilter. It buzzes at full boost, I was wondering if there was anything else I could do to eliminate the noise.

    THanks

Not sure if the VMR gauge comes with a flow restrictor, but if not...

    Re: new boost gauge buzzing

hm so its rapid flow of gas that causes the buzz? Mine just came with a regular t-fitting (at least i think). Maybe i'll try one of those, anyone else have good experiences with them?

    Thanks a lot!

You need some anti buzz restrictors.

where did you put your inline filter? my awe one buzzed as well, i now have 2 inline filters, one by the t-fitting in the engine bay, the other a few inches from the acutal gauge tucked under the vent.

    Re: new boost gauge buzzing

I had an adjustable in-line restrictor (had a little dial). Kept adjusting until just enough flow to read boost, but not enough to cause "buzz".

I just installed the Podi Stewart Warner gauge with the anti-buzz fitting, 14" after the T. Where did you install yours? Mine still buzzes at full boost.

You should install the first restrictor 8-10" from the back of the gauge, if the gauge still buzzes then you install the second one 8-10" from the t-fitting at the manifold.

    Hope that helps
