    Can anyone explain this?

    Did a pressure test and found that some of my fittings where leaking from the hoses going to the n-75 and mbc. MBC was set to 22psi previous to the fix. After making sure the hoses were sealed tight...boost smoothed out a lot and felt quicker, but would only boost to 17psi with the same setting. Took some logs and at first boost was creeping up to around 23 after addjusting the mbc. Stays constant now at 21-22psi throughout the whole rpm range. all other logs look good. Any thoughts?

    wastegates operate on pressure, if its leaking then the pressure that should be opening up the wategates isn't, and the turbo will spool more.

    well how does that explain the initial 5psi boost loss on fixing the hoses?

    your turbo isn't spooling as much because the wastegate is opening all the way instead of part way, less spooling=less boost.

    Thanks man...makes a lot more sense now. So can I be safe to say that I wasn't over spooling the turbos by 5psi?
