This poor fellow came too fast into a curve and ended up on his side last night. The Lincoln SUV only had summer tires on.

BTW, this is 6 inches of wet snow and my first drive in my Avant with my winter setup. The Avant is fabulous in the snow. Please bring me more. I don't know why I didn't buy that car before. You truly don't know what you are missing until you drive one.

    lol @ summers.

It's great to see an idiot get screwed. Yea sure with awd we can launch off the line like champs but when it comes to turning and especially stopping we are in the same boat as everyone else. AWD is useless if it can't get any traction.

Hilarious. Good thing it went off into a ditch before it reached traffic.

    har har

On a side note, ESP is godly. I think we all turn it off when we are focused 100% (usually when we're playing in the snow)... but when you're just driving, and shit happens, ESP is incredible.

I got to try it in a Jetta last winter, too. Tested an 04 GLI on snow/ice, when the dealer (that had just imported it) had left on the worn out Goodyear Eagle F1s. Impressive what ESP can do in a FWD car... I always thought it'd be much more effective in an AWD car, but I suppose it makes sense that it shouldn't matter.

By 2011, all cars sold in Canada need some variant of it, too! Badass. Now we just need that program that Mercedes has... where it brakes for you, when you're about to hit shit. Haha
