What is this B6 S4 Worth?

I thought I might see if there is any interest in a 2004 S4 with 100k. The car runs great and is pretty clean in and out but needs timing tensioners. Perfect chance for someone looking for a B6 S4 project. Its a stock Black on Black tip with rs6 reps and tint. Looks really good. Any idea of what this is worth considering the work it needs.

17-19K id think at least... depends on the overall condition too though..

I just bought a 04 w/ 21k on it for $22k.

The high end of $19k is a stretch IMO especially if it needs work.

your probibly right Mark, but I still think he could get rid of it for 17ish.

It is in good shape, no accidents, clean carfax, brand new tires but the work it needs is pretty expensive. The tensioner replacement requires the engine to be pulled. I was thinking it would be more like $12,000???? Anyone interested???

I agree.. Thats why i said the high end may be a stretch.

Why do you think it needs tensioners? Have you been told this or just assuming because it has a loud rattle a start up.

Regardless, if it does need them, it is around a $5K job. So I would say $15K is right around the money.

Yeah, It rattles at startup like most do after a few miles but it also has a knock at warm idle. I have taken it to a few different shops to confirm the problem as a bad tensioner. It will likely cost someone or me around $5,000 to have all the tensioners and chains done by a certified mechanic. Good deal if someone is willing to do the work themselves or has a good hook up.
