Double check with your insurance company, but repainting the car is different than a color change. A repaint is just taping off and repainting the exterior. For a color change you would need to also paint door jambs, engine compartment, underside of hood and trunk, trunk jambs, sunroof jambs, etc. Unless you got something special going, there is no way an insurance company is going to pay the extra labor/materials for a complete color change. Unless a color change is done right, don't do it.
They may not even go so far as actual "paint" and only re-clear if the damage is only in the clear coat. Again, double check with your insurance company and make sure you are both on the same page.
If they are going to repaint and you want to change something, I think the most you should do is add something special to the black to make it different. You can add more metallic to the paint or a tint to the clear. Both will make a noticeable difference in the look and help to hide dirt, without going overboard.
Just my .02, but I would leave the color alone.
