    ECU compatibility

    Will a A box from a 2000 B5S4 work in a 2001.5 B5S4 that has a M box?

    Both are 6 spd manual transmissions

    Anyone know?

    A box uses Bosch MAF, M box uses Hitachi MAF. Plus, A box doesn't have ESP.

    it'll work if you switch the MAF I believe. Also, with VAG-Com people have reprogrammed their ECU's.

    Blah, I was hoping just switching out ecu's would work. I had a feeling the esp would be a problem because I knew 00's dont have esp

    I have vag-com, but dont know how to reprogram that much and dont want to screw anything up.

    Anyone have a M box that has either a giac or APR chip for stage 2 car that lives in milwuakee area that I could try running in my car to see how it pulls?

    I have the inmotionusa chip and want to compare what other chips run compared t what I have.
