Too much boost? K03

K03 w/ GIAC
Vac @ idle = 20-21hg

For the past month or so I have noticed that my K03 is boosting way to easily. Now just driving around town its easy to push 15psi every time the car moderately accelerates. I did a couple of redline pulls this evening and found that at about 85 - 90% throttle I am pushing 20psi.

It was common before to push 15psi at WOT and 7-10 around town while beating on it, gear shifts were very smooth..

I've also noticed that the car is not quite "running right" under acceleration. It feels like I need to swap out my plugs again (which I do)..Now when the car is boosting really high and running strange, there is usually a delay in-between shifts and a jolt as it pushes into the next gear..(strange for an auto)

Any thoughts?

Vac line come off the wastegate actuator?

I always thought it was uber easy to boost 15psi on a K0x car. Being a Man trans though, I get a little more feel/control though.

If I twitch the throttle wrong I hit 5psi, and normally don't even realize coming out of corners that I'm holding 7psi.

I suppose its possible, I dont think it came off, but maybe there is a leak?

Boost still seems to controlled for something like that to have occurred.

Well, I checked and everything appears to be connected correctly..

Wastegate stuck shut? Did you try and move the actuator rod?

I'm used to GIAC files pushing 20+psi though, most of the cars I dealt with were GTI's and MK4's. They push 20+ a lot easier than our longitudinal's do.
