    Theft Proofing a car

    For those that dont know. Myself along with 2 others on here have had there car stolen in NJ this past week. 2 S4's and my A6. What can you do to prevent this from happening again. Like Lo Jack what are my other options?

    feel like replacing your entire steering assembly? lol.

    OP:
    try parking under a street light, the closest thing to theft proofing a car is an armored car as they are the hardest to get into.

    You can buy a device that attaches magnetically or bolt on that has gps track in it. You can find them on ebay for under $100. We have some at work for our delivery/pickup guys so we can see where they are if someone is closer than another to a pick up point we send them. I don't see why this wouldn't work as at least a way to retrieve your vehicle.

    I usually use the immobilizer that comes with my Revo select plus. However I think when they steal car like ours the usually do in flatbeds or so.

    this is the best idea, is yours powered by baterries or from the car?
    i saw one powered with batteries and i think its the best waY cause usually disconect the battery....
