Engine Rebuild???

Hey guys im from the s4 forums. i think i am going to buy a 1999 A4 avant. The car has 157,000 miles and here is the recent maintenance:

Many new parts added in the last couple months including Timing belt, T-Belt tensioner, Serpentine belt, water pump belt, Water pump, Thermostat, Brake pads, All the front control arms ($500 just in parts), tie rod ends, sway bar links, rear wheel bearing, Depo projection headlights, aftermarket head unit, N75 valve, New windshield and other parts.

Im wondering what else i should be worried about or if i should rebuild the motor. This car will be my winter/ commuter car. My question is: How much would it cost to rebuild the motor with stock or close to stock parts? I dont think the car will ever see a big turbo but you never know. Maybe a ko4.

A German motor does not need a rebuild at that age if it runs and has good compression.
