My RS4 clutch wont hold the power anymore. Im trying to find a clutch that will hold the power of the RS6 turbos but not be terrible to drive as this is my DD. I am thinking about the VAST stg 3 and Southbend Stg3 or 4.

Any thoughts on pedal pressure, how easy it is to slip would be appreaciated

    Re: clutch

I have the CM stage 4 ceramic 6 puck with CM LWFW. It will hold a TON of power; built motor GT and RS6 cars are running it without a problem. And it's suprisingly streetable. It's grabby, but easy to make smooth. The clutch pedal is actually lighter than stock, which is nice. I love it. Only down side is that it's expensive since the clutch requires the use of the CM lwfw (or WMS steel lwfw).

    Re: clutch

i have a southbend stage 3 with a fidenza lwfw and it feels great not hard at all. a bit stiffer than the rs4 but not by much. definitely street worthy. southbend and vast stage 3's are the same and southbend is cheaper

    Re: clutch

I just had the Vast Stg. 3 and lightweight flywheel put in and am really liking it. I also came from an RS4 clutch. The pedal feels lighter and easier to engage. I'm still breaking it in so I haven't really put a ton into it but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Especially after seeing Jay from JHM beat on his, it must be durable. The lightweight flywheel does make noise when under 2k depending on what gear your in and how much load your putting on it, the chatter varies. I'm hoping to get some audio recordings within the next couple of weeks so people can hear. I was always curious myself but decided to do it anyway.

    Re: clutch

Fidanza's are great. I had one before my CM stage 4 setup.

Personally, I would stay away from any clutch with a SAC. I've had far too many problems with the OEM RS4 pp. Some people have good luck... others don't. So just keep that in mind.

The higher stage Spec clutches are suppose to be very good. Might want to look into those too.
