Winter Tire Pressures same as Summer Tires??

Hi,

Just got a set of 17" Nokian R winter tires and was wondering if they should be inflated to the same PSI as the standard 18" rubber. If memory serves the manual recommends for the 18" setup 38psi for the fronts and 35 to 42psi for the rears.

My car is an 07 Avant Sline. Anyone know for sure?

What tire pressure are you guys running on your a6's?

I have mine at 34 all around is that too low? Could that be affecting my gas mlage?
Anything higher and makes the handling feeling way off....

35 all around.. you should see that little sticker on the side of the door. it'll tell you what PSI to put on.. but as for the winter tires,, i guess it's a bit different.

Thanks for everyone's input. I need to check the manual again as I think the recommended PSI varies from 33 up to 38 depending on the number of passengers and luggage.
