    Anyone else had my problem?

Im in CT, so the temp is in the 20-30's at night. I went out to my car and all my coolant was on my driveway! I guess what happened was the cold weather shrunk the gasket on the lower radiator hose enough to lose its seal. When the coolant is warm it doesn't leak anymore. now i gotta blow 90 bucks on a radiator hose. anyone else feel my pain??

That is odd, did you do any work on the system that required you to undo that connection? I have the original radiator hose at 102k with no such issue in MA and now in Baltimore.

make sure the cap to your coolant expansion tank is ALL the way on. if it's slightly loose for any reason the system will boil over and all spill out like that when you shut the car off.

(the seal at the cap creates pressure and raises the boiling point of the coolant even higher from what it's rated)

I had that problem once. Woke up in the morning in Montana (0-10 degrees F) and all my coolant was under the car. Took the car to my audi mechanic and he tightened a flange or gasket on the back of the motor. Stopped happening after that.

i installed a new radiator about 3-4 weeks ago with no leaks till the other day. its on the front of the motor, cap is tight. I have a sprained ankle so i have to wait a few more days till i can get under there. thank God for 2 vehicles!
