Cost for brake job

I seem to have neglected my brakes for too long and started to get a grinding noise from the rear. Since I don't have the space to work on the car, I'm going to have to bring it in for service.

For those that have had brakes (front & rear) done recently, how much did it cost? I got quoted $800CDN (~$650USD) and I want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off. I'm not talking about BBK or anything. Just looking for the cost of replacing the regular OEM rotors and pads plus labor.

i think mine cost around 400 (with rotors), and that was only the rear..expect to pay about 7-800 maybe even a bit more

You should be able to DIY it, if you can get the, I think it's a 17, off in the front by hand.

if you are even remotely mechanically inclinded, DIY and save a lot of money. you can put nicer rotors and pads on too!
