Sport springs from Vogtland and H&R are a couple great options.

Really depends on the mileage you have on your shocks and their condition.
With over 50k miles on 'em, you're better off replacing them.

With worn shocks your ride will be slightly more harsh, and have noticeably more bounce to it. Just how bad it is depends on the condition of your shocks.

    Re: Suspension ?

I just put H&R springs on my car, the sline springs weren't low enough.

Ride is very similar to Audi's oem sport suspension, just a tad stiffer. Here is how low H&R springs sit with stock 17s. Little less than 1 finger gap over each tire

    Ignorance is bliss.

Multiple vendors carry them, but I bought mine from Tunershop. I re-used my oem sport shocks, and the springs were about $250 including shipping.

Send them a PM HERE if you want to go that route.

I'm fairly certain H&R only makes one set of springs for the A4. "(Avg. 1.7"F 1.6"R)" drop.

    Re: Suspension ?

The H&R springs that lower 1.3" are for the cabrio I believe.

I only bought springs because I wanted a mild drop. Ride comfort is about the same and I got rid of my wheel gap, but I don't rub, don't have to worry about roads, and saved some major coin. Yes being slammed on coilovers looks better, but I did that on my last car and am tired of worrying about it.

It's all up to you though

    Re: Suspension ?

then stick with one of these three

    1) eibach (the most mild drop of these three. a little lower than OEM s-line )
    2) h&r ( a little lower than eibach, and with a little rake (very slighlty lower in the front))
    3) neuspeed sport (same as h&r, but with no rake. so its even on all sides )

all of these would probably be fine with oem sport shocks. but for the long run new shocks would be better and might help the ride also. bilstein matches good with all three of these springs and are like $415/set at tirerack
