Timing belt snapped, car was restarted and didnt start. So dealer said the engine was interference and I couldnt find much disagreement elsewhere. We pulled the head and there seems to be some minor valve damage.
Im looking for a replacement (used/rebuilt/performance) cylinder head for a few hundred bucks as apposed to going through with the valve replacement. Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks

You'll be very lucky if you can find a good condition used AAN head for under a grand. These heads are very rare and pull top dollar.

I know 034 motorsports has one on the shelf. They sell fully rebuilt heads too, but be prepared to spend $$$. This wont be a cheap fix.

    Re: cylinderhead 94 s4

Thank you to those who have veiwed and posted,

So we decided to do it ourselves and the head is striped and cleaned minus valve guides, had to make a few tools but it went by ok. Lifters all floated well prior to removal. Keepers were stuck as is common but released with a solid tap. Valves slid out nice with some oil residue on top. I believe the fifth cyclinder experienced the most damage. I don't have the right, or even, a caliper setup, but it appeared to have a progressize 5 to 1 cyclinder affect. Is this common?

For now I ordered a gasket set 170 @ carpart.com and intake valves 100 @ 034motorsport.com, the exhaust valves looked straight.
If anyone has damage history for aan heads after timing belt failure please let me know if I should consider other replacements.
After further cleaning and polishing we plan to lap the valves and perform the install.

    Hope to hear stories!

    Thanks

I have a complete set of valves if u need them, a brand new steel head gasket still in wrapper, and other stuff , i just bought a complete head from force5 and it was $800 shipped... I snapped a cam and had no contact with valves against pistons..I got lucky. Replace the valve guides and valve seals while you are there, call germanautoparts.com or SJMautotechnik.com for what you need, these guys are reputable...MAKE sure you put the cam caps back on the same way they came off too...

    Re: cylinderhead 94 s4

The head is not ruined since you snapped the TB...Replace the valves if any are bent, guides, and seal.wont cost that much....Look at the piston faces, any half moons and there was valve smack..

PM me if you need anything..........
