    Re: B6 S4 oxygen spacers

tried the auto zone route no go they don't work.

I have the Vastperformance ones they work the best for me. I might get a CEL if it gets real cold and the car has an issue cold starting. But no other issues and no CEL

you gotta drill the one so the sensor can fit inside it. then screw that one into a nondrilled one.

    Re: B6 S4 oxygen spacers

If you remove the cats. You will get a CEL. The eliminators VAST eliminators prevents the CEL threw placing the secondary 02 in a position that results in a 02 reading the same as it wold be if you had a cat in.
Proper placement is super important because you might be able to stop the CEL with a non fouler but you might still have an issue with not having the proper LTFT (long term fuel trims) getting that part of the signal correct is also something you need to look into.

Obviously the car is not going to be seriously effected either way. But for me I thought it was important

the vast eliminators are essentially 2 o2 bungs welded together, with a o2 plug welded to the bottom and then drilled out. its essentially the same at the non foulers, just measure it up and you can get the correct spacing.

    Re: B6 S4 oxygen spacers

the spark plug foulers F that.

The Vast ones are plug and play the foulers you have to mess with and keep trying to get the set up right. I have never had good like with them in the past and I Just wanted a Drop in solution. The Vast ELE's went right in and no issues. The only thing I had to do was to pull down the extra slack that is in the 02 wires. But you would have to do that no matter what type you used

    Re: B6 S4 oxygen spacers

Ya mine gave me an issue the other day with the cold weather. Check your codes and see what it says. Post that or P.M. me if you wish.

I fixed mine. I looked at the code. Basically it said too much exhaust. So I put in some washers. If you have aftermarket Dp's then some of the guys seem to need to put in spacers as well.

Get the codes that will tell more
If you don't have haters, then you're not kicking enough ass.

    Re: B6 S4 oxygen spacers

did you use spacers on all 4 o2 sensors or just the two? make sure you buy all four because these cars are smart and hard to fool. you can get the two but after 200 or so miles, you'll throw a code

    Re: B6 S4 oxygen spacers

Why not go the Wayne route? The guy makes 90 degree machined spacers for our car. Mine run perfectly, no cal, no problems, and they dont look too bad either. You have to search for the thread, but they are the best ones Ive seen to date.

I second that, the sensor would "bottom out" before it was fully screwed in.....
