What do you think of the look and fit of the silver bezel?

After lots of requests from clients I finally got the brushed aluminum silver bezel to fit on my new mechanicals.

The bezel does sit flush to the lens but it doesn't cover the black bezel 100% as shown on the pictures.

So my question to you as the end consumer is this... do you care?

If you don't then I'll start including it as an option for the gauge package.

For comparison where is how it looked like on my Omori gauges

To me it looks like it does not fit so you blacked it out to get round the problem.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but that wouldn't work for me either . As soon as you get this done where it fully covers the black bezel (if you do) I am buying one!

Re: What do you think of the look and fit of the silver bezel?

Unfortunately there is no way for me to make the aluminum bezel completely cover the black bezel. It took me a month just to make it fit the new gauge.

So this is the only option available if you wanted the gauge to match the look of the cluster as close as possible.

I don't think anyone would notice once the gauge is put into the pod.

But I'm just a bit OCD when it comes to details like this.

Looks good to me, the factory gauges are like that too.

So how much is it to get one for my current gauge?

Re: What do you think of the look and fit of the silver bezel?

why don't people just paint the original black bezel silver to match it?

seems like that would be an easy solution......?

The silver aluminum bezel has the proper shape and curve to match the instrument cluster rings better than the rounded bezel that is on the new mechanical gauge.

    no no no...

i was referring to painting the black bezel on the guage silver first. and THEN putting your silver bezel on top of it. that way both are matching silver..

only problem i would see is that it might leave a noticable line of seperation between the 2 bezels....?

either way it looks great as is. i want one and when can i buy?

Re: What do you think of the look and fit of the silver bezel?

If you painted the bezel first the metal bezel would never fit on.

The fitiment of the bezel is so tight that once you press it on it's not coming off. I can't get that bezel off that demo gauge without damaging that gauge itself.

If you wanted one it is $10 shipped and I have a few in hand.

Just send payment to [email protected] and I'll get one out to you.

    steps...

    1- put bezel on guage

2- tape off everything but the black ring still showing

    3- paint

    4- remove tape

    5- done

does the stewart warner bezel fit around it at all? im going to have to go check that out once i remember what i did with that old guage..

if i can't figure anything out with that. i'll be ordering it from you

The bezel off the old SW gauge you'll destroy trying to remove it off the gauge since it is wrapped behind the bezel and crimped into place.

This is just for the mechanical gauges.

The new electronic gauges have a totally different body design and will not be ready for a few months as they are being produced right now.
