HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. Xenon is a type of HID light. The difference between BiXenon and single Xenon is the size of the lense and bixenon does you high beams also

If you want xenon e-codes with a chrome housing let me know. I know you said you want black, but a simple joey mod could fix that and I'll get ya a discount

The difference between bi-xenon and xenon is that with bi-xenon, the low beam that you normally use has a shutter in it that allows for it to also divert light for the high-beam function. This is in addition to the halogen high beam. With a single xenon setup, if you turn on the high beam, you'll see the xenon low and the halogen high. With the bi-xenon setup you'd see the xenon switch to high beam and the halogen also on high.

Devil eyes, angel eyes, same stuff. It all came about after BMW put the halo looking rings around their 5 series cars. You may recall the "Eyes are the window to the soul" commercials. Looks good on BMW's. I'd pass for our cars.

The e-codes are going to give you the best beam pattern and cutoff so they'll illuminate the road better. E-codes are the euro version of our headlights. They have a round light (for lack of a picture) where we normally have that ugly orange reflector. Also they have a city light which is used when parking on narrow european streets. It allows you to better see the cars.

As far as the brightest lights e-codes with a 4500K or close color will get you the best results. The 4500K refers to the color temperature of the bulb when referring to HID. That's a whole different topic though. Hope this helps.

The problem with the aftermarket e-codes, is that they have H7 halogen projectors, even if HID D2S lamps are used, the optics of the H7 projectors are not designed to be used with HID light sources. The result is that there will be uncontrolled glare for oncoming drivers, creating a hazardous situation. Installing HID light source in a H7 Halogen projector is not legal, all the retrofit kits are not legal either.

The correct way to upgrade your headlights to HID/xenon, is to obtain OEM Valeo headlights, you can get the black interiors with e-codes, and you will need to get a OEM HID kit that provides the ballast, D1S HID lamp, and the cable to connect the ballast to the D1S lamp igniter. The lamps with 4300K color temp, have the most light output at about 3200 lumen. Higher color temps will have lower lumen output, but 5000K to 6000K are white to blue white, without loosing to much light output, and provide 2400 to 2800 lumen. Be careful to buy only genuine Philips or Osram D1S lamps. ( I know of only one non OEM hid burners source, that are good quality, but most are crap.)
