Finally put the B7 twin 5 spoke wheels on my car...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
The car does have the factory sport suspension..

They clear the Boxster calipers without spacers

With the 235/45 R17 still on.

Tight fit with the Conti Contact2 235's but they fit.

I had those on my A4... until my dad hit a chunk of pavement and put a hole in one of them.

    Did you like them?
I thought they look good, better than the B6 5 spoke wheels IMO.
And they clear the calipers which is what I was really looking for.

I almost didn't buy them because no one knew for sure if they would clear the calipers. I was ready to take a pass on these and buy a set of B6 5 spoke wheels. Truly glad I took the chance.

Looks good, I was wondering if anyone had done that.

Any idea what the bare wheel weighs?

I can weigh one next weekend if you want. Then just subtract the weight of the tire that is given at tirerack.com

I haven't pulled a wheel yet, but the boxes that the wheels came in were still in the garage. Shipping weight 53 pounds, about 2- 3# in cardboard TireRack specs say 24# on the tire. So the wheel is about 26 or 27 #'s

    Thank you for the info.

Basically, about the same (maybe a couple pounds less than) as the S4 Avus wheels.

the b7's have good clearance for the brakes. have you seen the stock brakes on the b7 a4? 320 mm, huge ass caliper.

Yes have seen them the caliper is larger farther out (radially) than the Boxster caliper. These clear, by maybe 5 - 6mm I think the B7 calipers have a lot more space.

    I was getting them regardless.
I search and common theme was they wouldn't fit and/or wouldn't clear the calipers.
    well...
And they do look good. Would have looked better if I had actually washed the car and wheels.
