Plate Number Light out

I have a 2004 S4, however for this purpose its probably easier to get an answer from the A4 guys. Both my license plate bulbs went out the other day. Last night I take out the housing and remove one of them, however the bulb is not burnt out. There is not a specific fuse listed as in relation to this bulb, however i checked all the 5A fuses in the doorside panel. Anyone have any ideas here?

You would have to replace the whole mounting hardware. there a common problem for A4's I just stop caring a long time ago.

haha same here, mine went out and i needed to replace the entire thing, even though its law here for rear plates lites i just didnt care, been driving it for over a year now like that never had any cops saying anything and ive had tons behind me at night too.

same thing just happed to me last night. what's the deal? i don't see a fuse for it in the fuse box..

lucky, i actually got pulled over specifically because i had 1 bulb out. Not even both, he just pulled me over to give me a warning because i had a single license plate bulb out... Lynnwood cops FTL
