    I've sprung a leak...

Yip, and it's a pretty big one too.

If you're standing in front of the car looking into the motor, it's coming out somewhere below oil filter from what i'm able to see. Car is still pretty hot so i'll jack it up a bit later.

    Any ideas...?

Oh, and before anyone asks... Yes, obviously i was driving the shit out of it.

1.8T. The oil is pretty much running out of it right now. No idea where from.

Did you hit your filter on something by chance?

Nope, checked that first, not coming from there, or the oil cooler, it's coming from lower down. It's running off the covers underneeth the car. Motor will be dry by morning at this rate.

It won't be dry if the leak was around your oil filter.

It's lower than the filter. That's the first thing i checked, no leaks there. I haven't taken any of the covers off at the bottom, but it must be pretty bad for the amount of oil coming out.

Check your oil pan? Sounds like you might have cracked it. Anything visually up top? (ie: gaskets leaking, cam seals leaking)

    Re: I've sprung a leak...

Going to jack it up a bit later. Got a few things to get done for work before i can start messing with it.

The motor is dry now. Oil change container is showing around 4.5 liters of fluid in it.

Motor was still running fine when i got home, i only noticed the oil coming out when when i stopped at home. Never had any oil lights or such come on either. So i think i got home just in time.

Already checked the turbo feed lines, all is well.

As Jake said last night, i probably broke the oil pan with my driving around like an idiot.

    Re: I've sprung a leak...

Sorted out, thanks Jake. It wad the oil pan. Took it off, welded(friends with MIG & TIG welders FTMFW!) it closed, going to put it back on tomorrow. It looks like something flicked up and hit it though. Had a nasty dent in one of the edges, split open nicely.

I do, it has a hole in it just below where the hole in the oil pan was. I still have no idea what caused it.

There wasn't a hole in it before... Whatever it was went right through. I don't remember hitting anything though. Although, there was a rather nasty speed hump that i should have gone over a lot slower than i did.
