So I have had my 99 A4 for over 2 years and have put on 20k, it's now up to 190,000. It's been a great daily but it has developed rust on the driver door and trunk.

The paint was flaking off the trunk and bad things were going on under the bottom door trim. Today I managed to find a donor car from A&P Specialties in MN () and snagged a trunklid and driver door from a matching 1.8t. I immediately debadged the trunk (kept the rings) and wet sanded the blemishes.

I wish I had better photographs to show the condition it started in but with it getting dark so early I havent had a chance to do it.

Here is the trunklid after my debadging & wetsanding/polishing. It's a pic from my G1 so .. these aren't spectacular.




And here it is on the car. Note: you can see in the profile my [failed] efforts at plasti-dipping my trim. It peels off, so I am going to replace it with the rubber trim from that donor 1.8...

First mod came in. OEM RS4 grill. Should look dramatically better within the next 2 weeks once the wheels, suspension, headlights & tint comes. Hard to distinguish it at all in low light.. makes me wonder for a second why I bought it LOL. Much different in daylight.

The S4 catback bolts up to the 2.8?

I found a good deal on a coilover setup I will probably be doing so I can dump it in the summer and keep it drivable in the winter but thanks.

As for the hood/trunklid -- I'm not quite sure what you were offering there. My hood is a little messed up in the front grill area, it's bent on the very bottom bar so it's hard to get the grill in. But my car is Volcano Black and if I'm going to respray it in the future I'll just have it straightened instead of buying another.

So, depending on price I might take you up on that catback.

Picked these B6 S4 wheels up today. 5 of em w/ tires from a local member. Off his W8 Passat.


Also have a set of S4 bumpers & sideskirts being shipped in. Need to be painted...

Figured I would update a sneak peek of what the wheel looks like on the car. It's very dirty, and its very slippery out so the wheel is just on for fitment testing.. It looks quite hilarious.

Installed my Valeo projectors (6000k), and had it tinted this morning (15%). Here's a walkaround in HD.
