    V1 and its detecting

Just wondering what other people have been able to pick up with their radar detectors.

I live in Long Island and my V1 has been able to pick up state troopers on the Northern and Southern state parkway, Suffolk county highway patrol cruisers and a town cop that usually hides on the service road of the LIE going west.

I would just like to know the area where you live and what you've been able to pick up your radar detector.

    All radar detectors welcome

    Re: V1 and its detecting

My v1 radar detector has been able to pick up radar.

This post is odd. I mean, all radar detectors should pick up radar. The thread would make more sense if you had asked what band, or distance. Maybe I've just misunderstood what you're asking.

My radar detector picks up litter and spare change.

You seem surprised that yours detects radar signals.

Disable X Band. Its not used out here at all, so it makes no difference for me... and I dont get garage/electronic doors.

    My V1....

works. Its supposed to pick up radar, what else would it be good for?

Mine picks up the county sheriff over several miles it seems. That seems to be the only cars it sees. Its always off in town though.
